Frequently asked questions

Is StudyRoadmap really free to use?+

Yes, 100% free. No signup, no fees, no premium tier. Generate as many roadmaps as you want, whenever you want.

Do I need to create an account to generate a roadmap?+

No account required. Select your exam, pick a duration, and get your personalised study plan instantly.

How does StudyRoadmap generate my study plan?+

We analyse the official syllabus weightings for each exam topic. Our algorithm selects and sequences the highest-impact topics based on your available time, so you always study what matters most first.

Which exams are supported?+

StudyRoadmap covers 125+ exams across India (NEET, JEE, UPSC, CUET, SSC CGL, CAT, CLAT, NDA, UGC NET), Pakistan (MDCAT, ECAT, NAT-I, LAT, HAT-UG), and Nigeria (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NCEE) — with more being added regularly.

How long does it take to generate a roadmap?+

Your personalised roadmap is generated instantly - in under a second. No waiting, no processing time.

Is StudyRoadmap affiliated with any exam board?+

No. StudyRoadmap is an independent, student-focused study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exam board (NTA, CBSE, NBE, JAMB, WAEC, or any government education body). All content is curated based on publicly available syllabus information to help students prepare effectively.

Can I access my roadmap on mobile?+

Yes. StudyRoadmap is fully mobile-responsive — the roadmap generator, study notes, and progress tracker all work on any smartphone or tablet. Many students use StudyRoadmap on the go during commutes or breaks to make the most of their available time.

How do the study notes work?+

Each topic in your roadmap links to free study notes with three depth levels: Quick (1h–1d cramming), Standard (2d–2mo comprehensive), and Deep (3mo+ expert level). Notes include key concepts, formulas, worked examples, and exam tips. You can switch between depth levels at any time based on how your preparation is going.

What if my exam is not listed?+

We currently cover 125+ exams. If your exam is not yet listed, use the feedback form to let us know — we prioritise adding exams based on student demand. You can also use a similar exam roadmap as a template: for example, NEET students sometimes use JEE Main physics notes since the syllabus overlaps significantly.

How is StudyRoadmap different from paid coaching?+

Coaching provides structure, peer environment, and teachers — but at high cost. StudyRoadmap gives you the most critical thing coaching provides: a prioritised study plan based on what matters most in the exam. Both are useful together. Many students use StudyRoadmap to supplement their coaching by identifying weak spots their coaching may not cover.

Can I use StudyRoadmap alongside my school or coaching classes?+

Yes — and that is the most effective way to use it. StudyRoadmap works as a planning overlay on top of any learning programme. Use it to identify which topics to prioritise in your coaching sessions, or to plan self-study on days you do not have classes. The roadmap adapts to your available time so you always know what to focus on next.

How does StudyRoadmap protect my privacy?+

No account is required, so we store no email, password, or profile. Your exam choices, roadmap data, and study preferences are saved locally in your browser using localStorage and are never sent to our servers as account data. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XPWXLW8J3R) for aggregated traffic measurement; our hosting providers also log basic request data for security and operations. When advertising is enabled, third-party partners such as Google AdSense may set their own cookies. Full details — including how to opt out — are in our privacy policy.

Who creates the study content and curriculum notes?+

The curriculum notes are compiled and reviewed by StudyRoadmap editors with expertise in competitive exam syllabi. Content is based on officially published exam syllabi from exam boards including NTA (NEET, JEE), CBSE, NBE, NTA, JAMB, WAEC, and other examining bodies. We cross-reference official syllabus documents, previous years question papers, and standard textbooks to ensure coverage accuracy.

How do you keep exam content accurate and up to date?+

We monitor official announcements from exam boards (NTA, CBSE, JAMB, NECO, NBE, and others) and update syllabus data when new exam cycles are announced. Our curriculum editors review the official exam pattern — number of questions, marking scheme, subject weightage, and section-wise distribution — and adjust topic priorities in the roadmap algorithm accordingly. If an exam schedule or pattern changes, we aim to reflect those updates before each exam cycle begins.

Can state board and CBSE students use the same roadmap as NDA and NEET?+

Yes — with a small adjustment. The core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, English) are largely the same across boards. The main differences are in specific topics, depth of questions, and question weightage. Our roadmap algorithm uses exam-specific weightage rather than board-specific weightage, so CBSE, ICSE, and state board students all follow the same exam-focused priority order. Where board-specific content differs significantly, the roadmap notes indicate the relevant topics for your exam.
