What is RBI Grade B and why is it prestigious?
RBI Grade B (Officers in Reserve Bank of India) is one of the most sought-after banking sector jobs in India — it comes with a gross monthly salary of around ₹77,000–₹82,000 plus allowances, with promotion potential to the highest levels of the RBI. How tough is RBI Grade B Phase 2?
RBI Grade B Phase 2 (Mains) is considered one of the toughest descriptive exams in the Indian banking sector. It has three papers: Economic & Social Issues (ESI, 100 marks, descriptive), Finance & Management (FM, 100 marks, descriptive), and English (Descriptive Writing, 100 marks). The descriptive nature makes it challenging — candidates must write structured answers in limited time. StudyRoadmap covers all ESI and FM topics with Quick/Standard/Deep tiers.
How should I prepare for RBI Grade B ESI and Finance?
Start with the RBI Annual Report and Budget Economic Survey for ESI. For Finance, focus on financial management, accounting, and banking topics.
