What is the VITEEE exam pattern?
VITEEE consists of 125 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes) on a computer. There is no negative marking. The exam is conducted online across multiple shifts. Candidates scoring above 90 out of 125 are generally in the competitive range for VIT Vellore.
What is the eligibility for VITEEE?
Candidates must have completed Class 12 or appear in the current year with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (PCB/PCM). For B.Tech Biotechnology at VIT, candidates from PCB stream are also eligible. There is no age limit for VITEEE. The exam is open to all Indian nationals as well as NRI and foreign nationals.
How is VITEEE rank calculated?
VITEEE uses a normalised percentile score because the exam is conducted in multiple sessions with different papers. The rank is determined by the normalised score, not the raw marks. Candidates are ranked from 1 to approximately 1 lakh. Based on rank, counselling (MI-MIVIT) is conducted for admission to various BTech programmes at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati, and Bhopal campuses.
