Subject Knowledge is the content-specific academic section of UI’s entrance pathway (UM, MTK-UM, or RUANG-AJAR), carrying 3% of the total selection score. It tests factual knowledge and conceptual understanding of materials relevant to your chosen faculty / study programme (e.g., Kedokteran, Farmasi, Hukum). Items are single-answer multiple choice, drawing on logical reasoning, propositional logic, sets, basic algebra, or programme-specific content.

  • Check your paket soal before studying — not every prodi administers Subject Knowledge.
  • Strategy: allocate study time proportional to weightage (3%), not equal to heavier sections.

Items are pilihan ganda with one correct answer. They lean on pengetahuan faktual rather than calculation-heavy problem solving, so fluent recall of definitions, taxonomies, and standard propositions is the dominant skill tested.

Exam Strategy

Treat Subject Knowledge as a tie-breaker, not a foundation.

Because SNBT, TKPU, and penalaran modules carry far larger weightage, candidates often over-invest here. Limit prep to the last 3–5 days before the exam, use only UI’s official PMB silabus, and verify against penerimaan.ui.ac.id which prodi paket soalan includes this section for the current cycle.

Subject Knowledge does not appear uniformly. Some prodi bundle it with another mata uji; others drop it entirely in favour of heavier penalaran or sains dasar weighting. Connection to Adjacent Modules

Logical-reasoning items in Subject Knowledge overlap with penalaran induktif tested elsewhere in the UI battery. Mastering propositional logic (AND, OR, NOT, implication) and set operations (union, intersection, complement) here double-counts as preparation for higher-weight reasoning sections.
