Pakistan Day (March 23)

Historical Significance — TWO Events:

Event 1: Lahore Resolution (1940)

  • Muslim League’s annual session

  • Called for separate Muslim states in northwestern India

Independence Day (August 14)

History:

The Objective Resolution (1949)

Full Name: “Resolution of the Objectives of the Constitution” Moved By: Liaquat Ali Khan (Prime Minister) Date: March 12, 1949 Drafted By: A.K. Fazlul Huq
